Tasting Notes

100% Monastrell from estate vineyards at 700 meters above sea level, located in the northeast of Jumilla. The wine is aged for 4 months, or 'meses', in French and American oak barrels.

This crowd-pleasing Monastrell exhibits an intense, deep red cherry colour with a powerful nose that is clean and complex. A harmonious balance is achieved between the attractive fruity aromas, the touch of ripe fruit, soft tannins and a very long finish.

Bodegas Juan Gil was established in 1916 in Jumilla, and four generations later, the Gil family is linking tradition with modern technologies.
