Tasting Notes

From the famed Cannubi vineyard, this 0.7 hectare plot sits at 300m, and faces S/SW. After a native ferment in stainless, with frequent pumping over and punch downs, all of the Baroli were aged in lightly toasted 30% new French oak for 24 months, and one year further in the bottle prior to release. The vinification and aging are kept across the three Baroli, to highlight the differences of the terroir.

Critical Praise

"The Barolo is creamy and sensual in the glass, with impeccable balance, soft, racy edges and tons of allure. It is easily one of the most sensual, compelling Barolos of the year. Ripe dark red/purplish fruit, spice, mint and cedar meld into the beautifully textured, resonant finish. I am so impressed with the wine's freshness. Perhaps the anti-hail netting helped keep some shade on the fruit. What a wine. Drink 2025-2037.
