Tasting Notes

100% Syrah. Fermented and then aged 3 to 4 months in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Aged an additional 3 to 4 months in bottle before release. This is a beautiful example of a fresh and juicy Syrah. Delicious, easy-drinking. Fresh aromas of blueberry, black cherry, violet and fresh herbs. Then moderately dense and concentrated, with primary dark fruit and mint flavors complicated by a dose of licorice. Finishes very smooth and persistent.

"Dark and swarthy, this is Sicilian syrah that could pass for nero d'Avola, so, a wine more of place than variety you could say. It has all of the black fruit, exotic North African spice, leather, and wild herb flavours of the island, on a supple, broad, voluptuous frame.
