Critical PraiseTHE STORY BEHIND THIS WINE:
"We combine tradition with the most advanced production technologies in order to improve the authenticity of our wines, so that we can offer the highest standards, always following the rule of an excellent quality / price ratio." —Bixio Produttori Bixio Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG is an excellent example of an authentic style of Amarone where the grapes have had a shorter appassimento—drying time—(2-3 months rather than, say, a more traditional 5 months) and the wine has spent between 1 and 2 years in oak aging, as opposed to 2 years or more. This makes for a more easy-drinking style of authentic Amarone, offering fine quality at a more affordable price than a typically quite expensive classic or reserve Amarone. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - This limited-quantity 2017 vintage is not available at LCBO stores.
