Tasting Notesa blend of Touriga Nacional (50%), Jaen (20%), Alfrocheiro (15%), Tinta Roriz (10%) and Tinto Cão for the rest, all aged for ten months in used French oak. It comes in at 13.5% alcohol. Well, acidity is sure not too low here. This has gorgeous aromatics and intensely flavorful fruit, but what makes this pop on the palate is the acidity that lifts and frames the fruit. It's not a big or fleshy wine, but the structure is excellent and the flavors are irresistible. The silky texture is sensual. The tannins are relatively ripe, so you can drink this now, but it is just a little tight. |
