Tasting NotesIt seems like the sandy soils from the vineyards used for the village red 2020 Valtuille Vino de Villa were quite good at absorbing the extra heat from the year; the wine feels quite harmonious and kept the moderate alcohol level of the 2019. This wine has more abundant but fine-grained tannins, and the 2020 vintage is more powerful—the wines are going to need a little more time in bottle. It's mostly from the same vineyards as in 2019, with slightly shorter macerations, but the wines show more structure anyway. |
