Tasting NotesIntense aroma of fruit and blossoms, fresh and spicy, at the same time complex and round, mouth-filling, with lively acidity. Very drinkable by its fine and juicy fruit. Its structure makes it a wonderful representative of a Grüner Veltliner from the Kamptal region. The grapes for this wine come from fine, old vineyards around Langenlois and nearby areas such as Zöbing, Gobels-burg, Schiltern and Mollands. Both young and old vines for the wine grow mainly in loess (80%). The rest (20%) are nurtured in weathered gneiss soils. The grapes were hand harvested during the first two weeks of October, and placed in small crates. After a short maceration, grapes underwent fermentation in steel tanks – partly spontaneous, partly controlled. At the end of January, the freshly fermented wine was drawn off and then further matured on the lees until bottling. (Organic, biodynamic & Vegan) 12.5% Alc./Vol. |
Critical PraiseThe 2019 has not yet been rated, however below is a review for the 2015 vintage: "Pear and savory soy notes take turns to shine. The palate is invigorated by a zesty lime freshness and has a slight touch of fizz.
