Tasting Notes

Viticulture:

The fruit of this Pinot Noir came from some of the principal wine grape growing regions of the Central Coast of California: Edna Valley, Santa Barbara, and Santa Maria valley. The source vineyards of these grapes consistently produce prize-winning Pinot Noirs thanks to the Pacific Oceans proximity, leading to warm days, cool nights, and a long, gentle growing season.

Crushed and fermented in a temperature-controlled environment, the must was pressed right at the moment of optimal tannin extraction. After malolactic fermentation, the wine was aged with oak and a controlled oxygen environment, allowing the fruity components to emerge alongside proper color stabilization and tannin modulation. Ready to drink straight from the winery.

Tasting Notes:

Along with the dark color, aromas strawberry cedar, and crème fraiche meet the wine drinker. Focused tannins and a long finish are complemented by flavors of black cherries, lychee and pomegranate. Oak aging adds hints of vanilla, nuances of toast and a soft, smoky finish.
