Tasting Notes

Crafted from estate and purchased fruit, and the baby sister to Sigrid, is our Old Stones Chardonnay. This wine is only sold in the state of Oregon and in the export markets of Japan, Canada, Scandinavia and the United Kingdom. The famous British wine writer, Jancis Robinson, tasted this wine and said: "An old favourite... It would be difficult to find this value from Burgundy!"
Pale white gold in color with a youthful and protective greenish tint, the 2012 Old Stones Chardonnay is a thrilling wine that is taught and vibrant with classic aromas of saffron, passion fruit, lemon candy, ginger, sweet oak spices, cinnamon, and a mineral saline note.
In the mouth the Old Stones Chardonnay is bright and crystalline like a laser beam with a sweet core of sugar cookie, ripe citrus, Granny Smith apple, tea type spice, and a mineral structure which gives this wine tremendous verve and appeal.
